The Thanator is a creature encountered by Sora in Kingdom Hearts II ½. It is one of the bosses on Pandora.
Story[]
Sora, Donald and Goofy encounter the Thanator shortly after arriving on Pandora, before they meet Jake and Neytiri. They manage to fight it off. Later, it joins the battle against RDA and the Heartless and bonds with Neytiri.
In battle[]
Moveset:
- Pounce - rapidly leaps at Sora with surprising speed and agility for its size.
- Bite - bites with its jaws.
- Slash - lashes out at Sora with its foreleg claws.
- Roar - roars loudly, spreading its frills. The deafening sound briefly stuns Sora, leaving him open to attack. Can be evaded by not being in front of the Thanator when it roars (which is difficult as it quickly turns to face you and then quickly executes this attack).
The Thanator is basically a giant version of Sabor. Lock on to it to keep track of its movements, and be sure to evade the pounce and roar attacks as they either do heavy damage or leave you open to attack.
