This is a world based on the critically acclaimed 1997 animated film Anastasia. This is the first non-Disney world to feature in a Kingdom Hearts game, but was included because it was felt to have the spirit of a Disney film and was directed by Don Bluth, a former Disney animator.

Story
The world starts off with a cutscene mirroring the beginning of the movie with the Dowager Empress telling of how Russia was once a magnificent kingdom with a reign of peace under Czar Nicolas II. But it then shows Nicolas' banishing of Rasputin, and Rasputin vows vengeance.
