Background
Doctor Facilier is a fiendish voodoo practitioner, who uses dark magic to curse or manipulate others as he tries to rise to the top of the social hiearchy in New Orleans. But that requires large amounts of money he doesn't have, which Facilier envious of fat cats like "Big Daddy" La Bouff, who flaunt their fortunes all around town while looking down at the "commoners".
